Develop the Xanadu Media Tower for the Meadowland Mall Complex in New Jersey

Services Performed:
PEI provided structural design, analysis, and P.E. approval for development of a large media tower.
Structural Analysis:
- Generated a detailed finite element model of the tower, support cage, and ribbons
- Performed quasi-static analysis for gravity and earthquake loading
- Complied with the 2006 International Building Code, Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures (ASCE 7-05), and AISC 360-05.
- Performed global and detailed stress analysis including weld and mechanical joints
- Provided approval of the analysis report by a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New Jersey
Engineering Design:
- Developed the requirements for all structural connections
- Designed reinforcements as required by analysis
