Develop the C-130 ATS Minneapolis Visual Upgrade

Services Performed:
Provided an excursion and foundation evaluation for the relocation of the motion system

Structural Analysis:

• Created a simple Finite Element Model of the trainer in its critical orientation with respect to floor loading
• Performed quasi-static analysis for body acceleration and gravity loading
• Determined maximum forces at floor knuckles for updated weight
• Evaluated anchoring requirements into the reinforced floor

Engineering Design:

• Performed a motion excursion of C-130 ATS in current position
• Performed a motion excursion of relocated C-130 ATS to ensure proper clearance with facility walls and columns
• Modeled the system at motion extremes and nominal position
• Generated an envelope of the proposed display system within the facility layout
• Provided required modifications to the trainer and facility for the required movement to clear the facility walls and columns
