Structural Analysis and Finite Element Modeling:
- Generate system level finite element models including modeling of high performance composite materials
- Perform static stress and deflection analysis considering hull pressure loads and inertial relief
- Provide design margin plots so material usage can be optimized
- Purpose of the analyses was to characterize the structural performance of their successful 320DC design and to leverage the results along with DNV-GL design loads to optimize structure for the 400DC.
