Provided structural design and analysis for development of the visual upgrade structure

Structural Analysis:

• Generated a detailed finite element model including the:
  • Mirror cell
  • Mirror support structure
  • Motion platform extensions
  • Projector support structure
• Performed quasi-static analysis for body acceleration and gravity loading
• Performed a buckling analysis and deflection study
• Performed global and detailed stress analysis including weld and mechanical joints

Engineering Design:

• Provided detailed design of the visual upgrade support structure and platform extensions
• Designed reinforcements as required by analysis
• Performed a motion excursion analysis
