Services Performed:
Provided structural analysis of the visual display system upgrade, replacing the original five projector system with a newer lighter set.

Structural Analysis:

• Generated detailed Finite Element Model of current system
• Performed modal, static stress, and buckling analyses of original system
• Modified baseline FEM to incorporate lighter components
• Evaluated weight reduction efforts on projector platform, side walls, turret, mirror support frame and aft wall
• Provided detailed analysis of the redesigned structure and connections

Engineering Design:

• Developed detailed system level solid model
• Redesigned the projector platform, side walls, turret, mirror support frame and aft wall to reduce weight
• Generated sub assembly and top assembly drawings
• Generated STEP and SolidWorks files for the redesigned components
