Provided design and analysis for the development of the advanced disorientation research device

Structural Analysis:

• Generated detailed finite element models (FEMs) of individual components
• Generated a system level FEM
• Performed quasi-static analysis for system loads
• Performed buckling analysis and deflection study
• Provided global and detailed stress analysis of all components
• Provided detailed analysis of welded and mechanical joints
• Performed dynamic disturbance analysis to determine disturbance response due to either external or internal loading

Engineering Design:

• Created the design model including the arm structure, bulkheads, cross arm, bearing support, support ring and facility interface
• Generated all detailed design and manufacturing drawings
• Generated component assembly drawings and top assembly drawings
