Services Performed:
Provided design support and analysis for development of the planetarium dome

Structural Analysis:

• Generated a finite element model to represent the catwalk and dome’s structural framework
• Performed quasi-static analysis for gravity, live, cable and earthquake loading
• Performed buckling analysis and deflection study
• Provided global and detailed stress analysis including weld and mechanical joints
• Complied with the BOCA National Building Code (1996)

Engineering Design:

• Designed reinforcements as required by analysis
