Structural Analysis and DER Approval:
- Generated a detailed finite element model of the fuselage and frames
- Performed quasi-static analysis for system loads
- Performed a buckling analysis
- Generated global and detailed analysis of fittings and mechanical joints
- Provided DER review and approval via FAA Form 8110-3
Engineering Design:
- Determined doubler requirements and rivet patterns
- Generated a design model of the aft fuselage area
- Performed design iterations on cutouts based on analysis results
- Generated all detailed design and assembly drawings for fittings, doublers and rivets
