Michael Pagnotta started the company in 1995 as a sole-proprietor. The company incorporated in June 1996 as Pagnotta Engineering, Inc. Mike Pagnotta and John Callahan joined forces upon incorporation, John becoming Vice President. Alex DiEdwardo joined the company in March 1999 as the Engineering Manager. Over the years PEI has grown to eleven engineers.
