Volkswagen needed a totally unique structure for a dome theater experience at Autostadt. They envisioned an 18-meter (59 ft), free-standing sphere to house a dome projection theater. VW wanted the sphere to "float" above a glass floor, supported only by the theater's four entrance ramps.* |

Spacepark Bremen is an ambitious space-themed indoor entertainment center in Bremen, Germany. The striking central hub of the park is a 60-foot diameter inverted dome which acts as sculpture, AV enclosure and projection surface. The design features three overlapping sections meant to resemble the petals of a plower. The structure houses and audio system, while moving lights and other projections are displayed on its surface.* |

Spitz designed meshing rings from 31 to 60 feet in diameter that cut through the multi-floor atrium. With low-profile framing and clean fasteners and supports, the cylinders carve through the space creating balanced motion and crisp curves.* |
